The easiest way to distinguish them is by checking the mounting screw and camera lens.
The Original BYD Version uses a black fixing screw and the original factory camera lens assembly.
The Branded Replacement Version normally uses a silver/white Phillips-head fixing screw, and the camera lens design is slightly different from the original version.
Both versions have a very similar overall housing design, so we recommend checking the connector, mounting points, part configuration and vehicle compatibility before ordering.
Choose the Original BYD Version if you specifically want the original factory camera unit.
The Branded Replacement Version is an alternative option for customers who need the same factory-style installation format with a compatible camera module.

This option includes one dash cam camera module. Installation is quick: remove the original camera, disconnect the existing plug, install the replacement module and reconnect the factory connector.

Choose Option 2 if your vehicle does not currently have the dash cam and you want to add the original-style integrated recording function.
This option includes the required camera and wiring harness. The interior trim around the windshield/rear-view mirror area needs to be removed so the harness can be routed and connected to the vehicle.
For this version, we recommend installation by an automotive accessories or car electronics shop. Once the wiring harness is installed, the camera fits into the original-style mounting position for a clean, factory-style finish.
